GCHQ Endorses the Certified Ethical Hacker and Certified Security Analyst Certifications
The Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ), have endorsed the EC-Council’s Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) and the Certified Security Analyst (ECSA).
We live in a digitised world such that the very lifeline of the UK runs on fibre optic, which makes the GCHQ Certified Training (GCT) initiative critical to help close the skills gap in infosec. The GCT rigorously assesses and certifies cybersecurity training programs, to establish the highest quality of training against a global standard. GCHQ has endorsed and accredited the EC-Council’s Certified Ethical Hacker (C|EH) and the Certified Security Analyst (E|CSA) as pivotal and distinguished security training, above the board. Originally developed with the Department of Defense in the USA, over 200,000 cyber professionals have been trained and certified with EC-Council, and being recognised by the UK equivalent is a fantastic accolade.

The GCT works with the Institute of Information Security Professionals (IISP), an independent, non-profit, governing body, which aims to continually advance information security professionals as well as the industry as a whole. This ensures the standards of professionalism within the industry are continually raised as well as promoting the growth of talent available to the government and businesses alike.
Both the C|EH and the ECSA programs include extensive step-by-step penetration testing methodology to the International standards from ISO 27001, OSSTMM, and NIST. Both certifications are also compliant with the new NICE 2.0, CREST, and IISP skills framework. This assures Information Security professionals who complete these programs obtain the real-life skills, to ensure individuals and organisations are protected.

The EC-Council’s C|EH has been accredited and recognised by the American National Standard Institute, the United States Department of Defense (DoD’s computer network defense Service Providers (CND-SP’s) and United States Department of Defense’s information assurance workforce.
